Paolo Nieddu is an Emmy-nominated costume designer known for his bold, character-driven aesthetic and contemporary storytelling through fashion.

He has defined the visual identity of acclaimed films such as The Deliverance, The United States vs. Billie Holiday, and The Other Woman, as well as the hit television series Empire and CBS’s The Equalizer. A frequent collaborator of director Lee Daniels, Nieddu is celebrated for his emotionally resonant, visually striking designs that deepen character and narrative while influencing pop culture.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Nieddu studied fashion design in Chicago before moving to New York City, where he began his career at Interview magazine and Patricia Field’s iconic SoHo boutique. In addition to his film and television work, he has styled Martha Stewart for national commercial campaigns. Nieddu’s unique blend of fashion instinct and storytelling continues to make him a sought-after creative voice on screen and beyond.
